If it matters, the character I have is a Witch with a familiar. I would just keep a character sheet on paper but I am newer to Pathfinder and that is a huge undertaking that I am not quite ready for or knowledgeable enough to tackle. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening or how to fix it? There are a few possible causes for this situation and the explanation hold true for both datasets that have never been in PCGen and some which have been in PCGen but were removed. Start PCGen, and before loading any sources there is an advanced Tab at. After Googling the errors I only found 6 results without fixes. I uninstalled/reinstalled again and instead of using old files I recreated my character sheet but after saving and closing the same thing is happening with the new sheet. I then uninstalled and reinstalled PCGen, saving my character files in a separate folder, and moved them back over but the same thing is happening. I restarted the program and my PC to no avail. This was truly out of the blue I hadn't updated anytime recently and I didn't move any files anywhere. Your homebrew trait should now be available to choose from the list of traits. PCGen begins by loading up basic game mode and system files + the basic UI to load data sources. And thats it The changes should be visible on the Character Sheet tab. Scroll down and select 'Terror', then hit the 'Add Template' button. Then, when creating a new creature sheet, go to the Templates tab. with an average number of source code comments. Finally, when you load your sources, include the source for your homebrew content. It should be added to the bar on the right, along with any other sources you have. PCGen is a free Java 1.5.x-based character generator aimed at supporting OGL roleplaying games like those. Type 'Unchained' (or just 'Unch') in the search bar. On start-up, when it asks you which sources to load, switch to the Advanced tab. Last week, randomly and out of the blue, I tried to load my character sheet in PCGen (60401) and got those two error messages ('cannot open pcg file' and 'could not find source files'). Go To Sources -> Select Sources ( Ctrl L ), and go to the Advanced tab. Make sure you have an up-to-date version of PCGen.
