There are a few ways that could be simulated but it adds complexity and risks just confusing the user. The app doesn't keep running in the background so it can't actually reset the timer automatically at a particular time of the day. Some people work at nights and wouldn't want the timer to reset at midnight. The app doesn't automatically reset the timer every day because it's difficult to know what a sensible definition for a "day" is. Ideally you start the timer running then don't even need to open the app for hours - just wait for notifications and use the action buttons in the notification or ask Siri to stop the timer when required. I deliberately made the app just a timer and chose not to add tracking/counting of rounds in order to keep it simpler and more focused. The only reason I don’t give Pommie five stars is that it doesn’t have the ability to set a daily target and doesn’t automatically reset the pomodoro counter every day. Pommie is not affiliated with, associated with, or endorsed by the Pomodoro Technique® or Francesco Cirillo.Īlthough not the best looking app, it does the job well.
